You all helped me raise $2,100 in the first 72 hours of this journey. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you for setting this off with such incredible momentum.
Yesterday morning I had a 6-mile tempo run on the calendar, don’t worry I did 15 miles on Monday, the distance is coming along.
I stumbled upon this Jesse Itzler video and I screamed at myself like a CRAZY person “I Will Not Quit” I Feel Outstanding“…I DARE YOU to do it…text me what you felt after.
Last time I ran Boston, I did a “Thank You Thursday,” where I shouted out every donor and shared how I knew them. I’ll be doing that again for this race—though thanks to your generosity, I’ll need to break it up into a few posts. Did I say how grateful I am for your first donations or what?
I’ve been looking for signs since Becky died. My Aunt Lucy always taught me that they’re everywhere you just have to be open to seeing them. After Becky passed, I saw a rainbow on the beach in Rhode Island. It felt like her.

Then, the Monday after her funeral, I emailed Joslin to see if I could raise money for them—despite them not being an official Marine Corps Marathon partner. The woman who replied? Her name was Rebecca.

When the world gives you a sign, believe it. She is with us, not in the way I would prefer, but she is here, I have no doubt about it.
To everyone who donated, liked, or shared a post—you’ve made me feel less alone. You’ve brought me closer to this goal. You’ll be getting a shoutout soon.
Big love to all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
