Money Monday #3

After a long absence I am back for Money Monday #3!

1.Dana-Farber was just recently named the #1 cancer center in New England by U.S. News & World Report for the 10th year in a row.

2.Dr. James Bradner, M.D. created the first molecule that will prevent cancer cells from “hearing” the instructions to grow and spread, a discovery that will greatly effect future cancer treatments.

3. Even 11-year-old Jeffrey Sullivan is doing his part to support both Dana-Farber and his cousin Jessica who is currently receiving treatment for leukemia. Check out their story here.

4. Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund help their patients make the transition back to school easier. Lisa Scherber, the Jimmy Fund Clinic Activities Coordinator and staff visit their young patients’ classrooms to teach their peers about cancer and how they can provide support for the returning student.

5. I’ve run a total of 8.5 miles over the past week…I know this doesn’t seem like much, but after not being able to run this whole time, it’s AMAZING to me!
